Toby Bristow, B.A. (Hons), LL.B.

Toby Bristow, B.A. (Hon), LL.B. Photo on Toby graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in English (Hon) and a Bachelor of Laws.  Toby received numerous academic awards, including the best research paper in the English department for both years of his studies, as well as the award for Top overall student in the English department after his first year.  Toby was awarded the Beaverbrook Scholarship in Law, the top entrance scholarship for the Law faculty, in 1996.  Toby is a past member of the New Brunswick Law Society and is currently a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Toby began his practice with Cox Hanson O’Reilly Matheson in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where he gained excellent experience in the areas of insurance law and civil litigation.  Toby grew up in St. John’s, and returned with his family in 2002, when he began practicing with Rogers Bussey Lawyers.  He and Ken Moyse made the decision to form Bristow Moyse Lawyers in January 2008.  Since then, Toby has focused on expanding his practice primarily in the area of personal injury litigation.

Toby practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, civil litigation, and Appeal litigation.  He has had cases in the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, Trial Division and Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
